FAQ's

Do you work with both self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants? Yes. We work with self-managed and plan-managed participants. For plan-managed clients, we send invoices directly to your plan manager. For self-managed clients, you can pay and claim reimbursement through your NDIS portal.

Can NDIS funding cover personal training? Yes. Personal training can be funded under Capacity Building – Improved Health & Wellbeing or Core Supports – Assistance with Daily Life, depending on your goals and plan. We align every session with your NDIS goals so it fits within your funding category.

Do you provide reports or progress notes for NDIS plans and reviews? Absolutely. We can provide progress notes, attendance records, support letters and capacity-building reports to assist with reviews or to demonstrate ongoing improvements.

Do you have experience working with different disabilities and support needs? Yes. We regularly work with participants with autism, intellectual disability, ADHD, anxiety, stroke recovery, chronic pain, MS, ABI, mobility limitations, and more. Every program is tailored to the person—not the condition.

How do you tailor sessions to someone’s abilities? We start with a simple assessment to understand mobility, strength, balance, fatigue levels and confidence. Then we build a safe, step-by-step program that adapts each week based on how the participant is feeling.

Can you work around injuries, pain or fatigue? Yes. We adjust exercises to suit energy levels, joint pain, stability and movement restrictions on the day. If someone is having a low-energy or high-pain day, we still run a safe, productive session.

Where do sessions take place? We train at WaterMarc Greensborough, a fully equipped and accessible gym. We can also discuss in-home or community-based sessions if that better suits the participant’s needs and goals.

How often should NDIS participants train? Most participants train 1–2 times per week, depending on their goals and funding. Consistency is more important than intensity—small weekly improvements add up to big gains in strength and confidence.

What outcomes can we expect from NDIS personal training? Participants typically see improvements in strength, balance, mobility, daily living skills, confidence, routine, mood and community access. Our focus is to make everyday activities easier and improve long-term independence.

What’s your cancellation policy? Life happens—please give at least 12 hours’ notice so we can offer the spot to someone else. Late cancellations/no-shows may forfeit the session per policy.
